Why a boat lift
Your boat safely above the water
A boat lift lets you take your boat out of the water with ease and protects the hull from wave action, fouling and long-term exposure to the water.
Thanks to high-quality materials and a robust stainless steel suspension structure, the boat lift is suitable for fresh and salt water and needs little maintenance. Whether your boat weighs up to 1,200 kg or up to 8,000 kg, there is a lift in the right weight class.
A boat lift can also be installed in a boat shelter or boathouse.

Frequently asked questions about the boat lift
How much weight can a DutchBoatLift lift?
The quay boat lift comes in three lifting classes: 750 kg, 1,000 kg and 1,200 kg, fitted with an electric winch as standard. For heavier boats from 1,500 to 8,000 kg, we supply the floating boat lift with HDPE tanks operated by air pressure. If you are unsure about the weight of your vessel, we will come and measure the situation with you in person.
Which boat lift best suits my sloop or boat?
For boats and sloops up to and including 1,200 kg at a fixed bank or quay wall, the quay boat lift is the ideal solution. For heavier boats from 1,500 to 8,000 kg, or for open moorings, choose the floating boat lift. If you also want to protect your boat from wind and weather, the lift can be combined with a boathouse.
What does a custom boat lift cost?
Every boat lift is produced and installed to measure. The final price depends on the type of lift (quay or floating), the dimensions and weight of your vessel and the situation at the water. That is why we work with a free, no-obligation quote following a personal measurement on site.
How long do installation and assembly take?
Installing a boat lift usually takes around 6 hours and is carried out expertly by our own installation team from Grou.
What is the delivery time for a boat lift?
Thanks to our own production facility in Grou and ample stock, our standard quay and floating boat lifts can be delivered within around 1 week. Expert installation on site usually takes just 6 hours and is carried out by our own installation team.
What warranty does the boat lift come with?
Every DutchBoatLift boat lift comes with a standard 3-year warranty on both construction and operation.
Is the boat lift resistant to salt and brackish water?
Yes. Our floating boat lifts are fitted with robust HDPE tanks and a high-quality stainless steel suspension structure. This makes them highly resistant to both freshwater and saltwater environments, without any risk of corrosion.
Can a boat lift be installed under an existing boat shelter or in a boathouse?
Certainly. A boat lift can be fitted seamlessly in an existing boathouse or under an existing boat shelter. DutchBoatHouse also supplies complete combinations of a new aluminium boathouse with an integrated lift.
Where are the boat lifts produced?
Our DutchBoatLift boat lifts are 100% Dutch-made. We develop, produce and assemble all systems at our own facility in Grou (Friesland), using high-quality materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and robust HDPE floats.
